Directions from the east on M4 to Llandysul Playing Fields
  • Follow the M4 west to its conclusion at Pont Abraham
  • Continue onto the A48 towards Carmarthenshire
  • Go straight over the roundabout at Cross Hands continuing on the A48.
  • Next roundabout will be at Carmarthen, take third exit onto A40 signposted Llandeilo.
  • Go straight over the next roundabout.
  • At next roundabout take first exit onto A485 (signposted Lampeter)
  • Next roundabout take second exit onto a single-carriageway (still A485 towards Lampeter)
  • You will now pass through the following villages: Peniel, Rhydargaeau, Pontarsais, Alltwalis for just under 8 miles
  • Reaching the top of the hill out of Alltwalis village, past the Windy Corner Garage (on your right), turn left and down the hill to the village of Pencader.
  • Carry on through the village
  • After approx. 1.5 miles the road forks to the left towards Llandysul.
  • At the next junction turn left.  
  • After several hundred metres turn right (signposted Llandysul)
  • Follow the road into the village of Pontyweli, past Valley Services (on left) towards the junction, and turn right to go over the bridge (after Llandysul Paddlers).
  • Drive through the village of Llandysul, past the shops and banks, and follow the one-way system round to the right and downhill towards the Porth Hotel.
  • Pass the Porth and Church and Police Station, and take the first turning left into the 'Pay & Display' car park (fee applicable).  The fields are located here.
  • Cricket and bowls matches are both scheduled for Saturday 8th June, therefore WTS players are asked to use the public 'Pay & Display' car park rather than the club house car park.

The playing fields are usually used for football, cricket and hockey, but will be marked to FIT regulation size Touch fields for WTS Round 1 2013.

Changing and shower facilities are only available at Llandysul Paddlers Centre, which is situated a few minutes walk away (see map on the right).  Bunk-house accommodation and a campsite with full amenities is also available at the centre.  For more information, click here
